Distance Two

2021
Ink and watercolor on watercolor paper. Varying sizes.

Again I explore a recurring theme in my work: the concept of the distant, unknowable horizon. The more distant, the better. The wider and more cinematic, the better. Contrary to Distance One, I loved the minimalism of the white in these landscapes. While these are works in their own right, I’m also using them as a foundation for exploring this idea in a bigger format in the future.
