Seeking

A certain kind of mark always shows up in my art, and “Seeking” is one of the first times that mark became a main character instead of a supporting one. This series was a set I did on small but high quality paper in which I wanted to explore texture and composition with a brighter color palette, and I specifically wanted to explore the texture I was getting with ink pencils. Using water to obliterate the marks but retain some of the texture was the appeal here.
